Your Agreement With Contrail Travel

By signing or clicking “I Agree” on our website as part of the booking process, you hereby agree to the following terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and all members of your traveling party. These terms and conditions form an agreement between you and Contrail Travel (“we” , “our” , or “us”).

Responsibility

The listing of airlines with which we book travel and the provision of information about those airlines—including links to airline websites and airline logos for identification purposes—does not and is not intended to imply any endorsement by or relationship with any listed airline. We act only as an intermediary for booking air travel and other travel services shown on your itinerary. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of such suppliers, their subcontractors, or their failure to provide services, adhere to their own schedules, or honor their contracts. Nor are we responsible for any omissions, delays, failures to make connections, re-routings, or acts of any governmental authority, or for damage and/or delay due to causes beyond our control such as labor disputes, bankruptcy, defaults, mechanical breakdowns, pandemics, epidemics, quarantines, government restraints, weather problems, volcanic activity, earthquakes, terrorism, or the threat of terrorism. Each supplier has its own terms and conditions that are applicable to your particular arrangements in addition to this agreement.

Airline Tickets

Are subject to the published conditions of carriage and rules—including, but not limited to, cancellation policies—of the applicable airline. The contract of carriage in use by the applicable airline, when issued, shall be between the airline and the passenger. Airlines retain the right to adjust flight times and schedules at any time. Airlines may also, at their discretion, change or cancel flights or itineraries. Please review the applicable carrier’s contract of carriage. We do not provide cash or credit card refunds under any circumstances. You will not receive any refund if you change or cancel your booking. Some tickets may be non-changeable and non-cancellable.

If the airline cancels your reservation due to security reasons, we will issue a full refund. However, we do not guarantee rebooking at the same fare originally booked. If the airline cancels for other reasons, refunds will be processed according to the amount we receive from the airline.

Some airlines may require your credit card to be present at check-in. This may require us to use your credit card directly with the airline for taxes and fees. In the event your credit card is used directly with the airline, we will refund the equivalent amount back to your card. You will not pay anything more than the total we have quoted you upon checkout.

Foreign entry requirements and hazards

We have no special knowledge regarding foreign entry requirements, unsafe conditions, terrorism, health hazards, weather hazards, supplier bankruptcies, or the suitability for a disabled person of any portion of any trip. For information concerning possible dangers at destinations, we recommend visiting the U.S. State Department travel website at www.travel.state.gov. For details on passports and visas, and possible dangers at your destination, visit travel.state.gov, click on “Find International Travel Information, ” then “Country Information” and enter your destination country. For medical and health information, contact the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or visit www.cdc.gov/travel. You assume full responsibility for verifying any passport, visa, vaccination, or entry requirements as well as conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and civil unrest. Many countries require your passport to be valid for six months beyond your date of entry.

Ticketing and exchange fees

It may be possible to exchange a booked ticket for a later date and/or different route, or cancel it for future credit.

  • Exchange/Cancellation Requests: Availability is determined upon your request to our support team. Use the support link on our site to fill out the relevant form.
  • Representative Contact: Our representatives will advise if an exchange/cancellation is possible at the time of your request and explain the terms and any associated cost.
  • Fees: Exchange quotes may include a fee and/or fare difference, and cancellation quotes may include a cancellation fee or a credit deduction.
  • Name Changes: Once booked, tickets are non-transferable and name changes are not allowed.
  • Time Restrictions: Exchanges are not allowed within 24 hours of departure and cancellations within 48 hours. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Basic Economy: Tickets in Basic Economy are always non-cancellable and non-changeable.

Ticketing, Price Changes, and Missed Flights

  • Payment Requirement: Full payment must be made before tickets or documents are released.
  • Price Increases: Airlines may increase prices before ticket issuance; you authorize your credit card for such increases.
  • Missed Flights: Missed flights are non-refundable. Replacement flights are subject to the airline’s discretion. If any part of your itinerary goes unused, full payment is forfeited.
  • Email Errors: If an incorrect email address prevents you from receiving your booking confirmation (your electronic ticket), no refund or credit will be provided.

Schedule Changes and Flight Delays

Schedule changes are common. We urge you to re-check your flight times before departure and return.

Flight delays are also common. If your domestic flight or U.S. -originating foreign flight on a U.S. airline is delayed, airlines are not legally required to compensate you for enroute expenses such as meals, hotels, taxes, or phone calls.

Check Your Itinerary

  • Immediately review your booked itinerary for accuracy in dates, times, fares, and rates.
  • Regularly check for any schedule changes.

Booking fraud and non-use of flight segments

You agree to use our website and services only for legitimate travel reservations. Do not purchase tickets with flight segments you will not use (e.g., “hidden-city, ” “back-to-back, ” or “point-beyond” tickets) or a round-trip ticket for one-way travel. If a flight in your reservation is unused, the airline may cancel the remaining itinerary. You agree to indemnify Contrail Travel against any airline claims for the fare difference between your actual itinerary and the purchased ticket(s).

Hotels and Other Accommodations

All hotel and accommodation bookings are prepaid, non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-cancellable unless otherwise specified.

Foreign Currency

Purchases on this website are transacted exclusively in United States Dollars (USD). If you use a non-USD card, exchange rate fluctuations may affect the charge amount. Should a refund be necessary, you will receive the exact USD amount originally charged, with no responsibility for exchange rate differences.

Credit Card Payments

  • Authorization: When you submit your credit or debit card, an authorization for the anticipated amount is requested (placing a temporary “hold” on funds).
  • Charges: If your booking is not confirmed, you won’t be charged and the hold will be released.
  • Security: We use stringent safety measures and report any fraudulent transactions to the relevant authorities.
  • Liability: You are liable for all credit card payments. Disputing the charge in full or initiating a chargeback due to any supplier’s action may force us to absorb a loss.
  • Telephone Transactions: Phone transactions are recorded and may be used as evidence in disputes. For high-risk transactions, our credit card verification team may contact you or your bank.
  • Power of Attorney: You appoint Contrail Travel as your attorney-in-fact for signing necessary documents for airline tickets, tours, cruises, and hotel guarantees. You authorize our representatives to sign credit card authorizations when a booking is reasonably believed to be from you. You agree to pay for all such purchases and not hold us liable for actions taken under this authority.
  • Taxes & Fees: Advertised airfares and hotel prices include all taxes and fees, though you might see separate charges from suppliers and us. Contact us for details if needed.

  • Non-Transferable Access: Your right to use our services is personal and non-transferable, limited to lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms and our Privacy Policy.
  • Service Interruptions: Access may be interrupted due to equipment malfunction, updates, maintenance, or other actions at our discretion. We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue any portion of our services without notice.
  • User Conduct: Any behavior that violates these terms, restricts others’ access, or is abusive, may result in loss of access. You shall not modify, scrape, embed, or frame our services without our written permission.
  • Account Access: To provide our services, you authorize Contrail Travel (and its partners) to create or access necessary frequent flyer accounts on carriers’ websites.

    • Imposing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

  • Third-Party Links: Links to other websites or mediums provided on our services are for convenience and do not constitute endorsements. We are not responsible for the content or policies of third parties.
